It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Believe it or not, even Sin City is on Santa’s must-visit list. And to welcome him, three local organizations have designed scenic holiday light displays that add Christmas cheer to this neon-covered metropolis.

First, there’s Glittering Lights nightly at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Located 15 minutes from the Strip, the racetrack lets motorists drive their own cars through 2.5 miles of twinkling eco-friendly LED lights for $15 to $20 per car. Featuring custom light displays as well as classics from previous years, the Glittering Lights experience also includes a gift bag for the first 15,000 vehicles through the gates.

The Cactus Garden at Ethel M Chocolates in Henderson has always been a popular attraction for visitors and locals alike, but with the addition of sparkling holiday lights it becomes the backdrop of a holiday memory. The lights are turned on nightly from 5 to 10, and Santa visits between 5 and 9. Local choirs serenade Thursdays through Sundays. Admission is free

A visit to the Magical Forest is a long-standing Southern Nevada tradition, mainly because it benefits one of Las Vegas’ favorite charities: Opportunity Village. The experience is truly a winter wonderland, as it not only showcases some beautiful light displays but also includes a passenger train, carousel, miniature golf course, gingerbread house exhibition and Santa in his workshop. Tickets range from $9 to $20.
