TV ratings: ‘America’s Got Talent’ wins Tuesday for NBC

“America’s Got Talent,” on NBC, had its second round of semifinal performances Tuesday night and was the No. 1 show in primetime. “Talent” drew 8.95 million viewers and garnered a rating of 2.3 in the advertiser-desired 18-49 demographic, according to early numbers from Nielsen.

The talent show, which featured performances from the acrobatic team Chicago Boyz, the 11-year-old singer Anna Christine and dance performer Kenichi Ebina, saw its total viewership increase 3% from last week for a four-week high. Its 18-49 rating was up 5%.

NBC scored a ratings victory Tuesday with an average of 7.12 million viewers and a 1.9 among 18-49-year-olds.

Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” was steady from last week among young adults, generated a 1.3 and its total audience grew 2% to 4.1 million.

On ABC, “Extreme Weight Loss” got no boost in the key demo from its two-hour finale. It was flat with last week with a 1.2 rating.

CBS, fresh out of its monthlong carriage dispute with Times Warner Cable, was showing all reruns.
