Chris Brown has been granted joint custody of Royalty, the daughter he didn’t know about until she was 8 months old.

The judgment came Friday in Houston, according to TMZ, with the singer getting to take his child home with him the same day. Nia Guzman, Royalty’s mom, had been fighting to deny all custodial rights and allow only supervised visitation, the website said.

Breezy’s child support payments to Guzman reportedly stayed at $2,500 a month, one-sixth of what she’d been asking for. Though she’d filed the case while living in Houston, she’s since moved to the L.A. area.

In July, Guzman was saying Brown hung around dangerous people and wouldn’t keep Royalty safe. The couple had had words back and forth on social media as well. On Friday, the judge reportedly told Guzman to stop talking trash about the singer.

A few months ago, the model broke up with rapper King Ba, whose real name, Brazil Riesling, was reportedly on Royalty’s birth certificate. In late August, Houston authorities were looking for him on suspicion of cashing forged U.S. Treasury checks, according to Crime Stoppers of Houston.

DNA tests in March proved that Brown was Royalty’s daddy. Longtime squeeze Karrueche Tran had finally had enough, and promptly dumped him for good.

Brown posted a picture of himself Friday with his attorneys, saying he’d been in court for two hours and taunting TMZ for supposedly getting that tidbit wrong the first time around. TMZ countered by saying he’d initially been with his attorneys in a private area, not in the courtroom itself.
