Oh, boy! Blake McIver, the former child star known for his role as Michelle’s sharp-tongued, well-dressed friend on “Full House,” is now a go-go dancer.

“I have worked as a go-go boy over the past year,” 28-year-old McIver told RumorFix. “I found it so liberating and empowering.”

So how did he go-go from acting to go-go dancing? Well, McIver is also a singer-songwriter who wanted to earn his living as a vocal coach. When profits weren’t enough to live on, he turned to dance -- and stuck with it.

“The tips were good. In fact, I raised so much money I was able to finish my record -- mission accomplished,” McIver said.

But more than money, he said, he earned confidence. “I had so much shame about my body. This was a way to express myself that was safe, sensual and fun.”

Speaking of expressing himself, his Twitter account does just that. McIver regularly tweets photos of himself in Speedos. His perfect pecs need some love, after all.

Along his go-go dancing journey, he garnered the courage to come out of the closet. “I’m not hiding who I am anymore -- not pretending I’m something I’m not.”

McIver’s debut album, “I Wish I Didn’t Need You” comes out Tuesday.
