Tim Tebow feels blessed, naturally, to attend Met Gala

Share

Tim Tebow keeps ticking off those New York rites of passage, and Monday’s Costume Institute Gala held at Manhattan’s Metropolitan Museum of Art was the latest.

The newly crowned New York Jet caused quite the stir in his Ralph Lauren Purple Label tuxedo (talk about All-American), distracting red carpet beauties, journalists and designers.

“I’m just so blessed to be here,” Tebow told Vogue magazine’s William Norwich on the red carpet. The bespectacled writer quizzed the football star as to whether he prayed before arriving at the fete, which drew attendees like Cate Blanchett, Tom Brady and Giselle Bundchen, Rihanna and Gwyneth Paltrow.

“I pray every day,” he responded with a smile.

This isn’t the first time Tebow has caused a sensation at a major industry party. He was a smash at February’s exclusive Vanity Fair Oscar after party (read the Ministry recap).

Tebow also mentioned he and his team, including fellow QB Mark Sanchez, were hard at work training in New Jersey for the fall season. So Madonna had better get in the quality Tebow time she wants right now.
