Since Monday, Mindy Kaling has been posting pictures from what appears to be an awesome girls' trip to Montana. Late on Wednesday, however, she gave a nod to the folks back home in Los Angeles.

"Hey guys, I'm in Montana, is anything happening in LA? #themindyproject," she said, posting an Instagram video of beautiful scenery ending in a selfie where she delivered a big wink to those watching.

Back in L.A., of course, news was breaking that her 3-year-old sitcom "The Mindy Project" had been canceled, albeit with a chance of a revival on streaming service Hulu. There may be no crying in baseball, but for fans at least, television is a whole 'nother story.

Way to tease, Mindy. Way to tease.
