Prince William, wife Catherine and Prince George have released their latest family portraits.

The royals unveiled two informal photographs of their new family on Monday via Kensington Palace. (Because who needs Instagram or Facebook when you have a whole palace at your disposal?)

The photos were taken by the former Kate Middleton’s father Michael Middleton on the family estate in Bucklebury, England, in early August. That’s where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently residing until they take up permanent residence in London’s Kensington Palace.

Catherine, who gave birth to Prince George Alexander Louis on July 22, is seen carrying her nearly 1-month-old son in one picture as she is flanked by husband William, their adopted cocker spaniel, Lupo, and the Middleton family retriever, Tilly. They’re all sitting on the grass with hedges and trees in the brightly lighted background.

In the other photo, also taken outdoors, Wills stands next to Kate as she is carrying a sleeping George.

The pair is dressed casually in both portraits -- she’s in a wrap dress and he’s wearing a blue button-down shirt -- and George is bundled up in what appears to be the same white blanket he was debuted in outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital on July 23.

William and Catherine, both 31, believed that having a family member snap the photos was the “best way to capture the couple in a relaxed manner,” a source told People.

The new family will take more formal portraits at Prince George’s christening, which is expected to take place in the fall.

As for fatherhood, in an interview with CNN, the second in line to the British throne said that his son is “a little bit of a rascal,” whom he said reminds him of his younger brother, Prince Harry.

“At the moment, the only legacy I want to pass on to him is to sleep more and maybe not have to change his nappy so many times,” he said.

The full interview, “Prince William’s Passion: New Hope, New Father,” will air on Sept. 15, according to the Associated Press.
