Discourse on twentysomething women is rampant this week, thanks to the massive hype around the premiere of HBO’s”Girls”-- so it seems like perfect timing for a written guide on what ladies should do by age 30. Enter Rachel Zoe.

A new book from Glamour, “30 Things Every Woman Should Have and Should Know By The Time She’s 30,” was celebrated Monday evening in L.A. Hosts Zoe and Cindi Leive welcomed a mix of gals at the Soho House in West Hollywood to discuss that particular decade in a woman’s life.

Though Zoe hasn’t yet seen the Lena Dunham-led “Girls,” we asked for reasons she’s grateful she’s no longer in her 20s.

“Oh my God, there’s so many reasons,” she said. “I thought that I knew everything in my 20s. The thing about your 20s is that you’re so hungry, so ambitious. And I love that. So much is unknown that you think you know everything.”

After building her styling business and expanding into reality TV and original designs with her partner and husband Rodger Berman, Zoe had baby boy Skylar last year.

“In your 30s you’re more willing to figure it out, and accept a lot more,” she said.

Now she manages her life with more “inner peace” than she’s ever known, including the odd professional curve ball -- like her client Anne Hathaway’s pageboy haircut for her role in “Les Miserables.”

“Thankfully, I knew about that,” Zoe said, “and I’m always up for a change.”
