'Friday Night Lights': Character Cliffs Notes

Are you ready for some Dillon, Panthers football? The last time we saw our favorite high school team, Smash, Saracen, and Riggins were trying very hard to make it to the playoffs. Thanks to the writers' strike, we never found out if the champs got to defend their title, among other pressing things. But the Panthers are back, starting Wednesday (Oct. 1) on DirecTV (those of you who dont subscribe will have to wait until February when NBC airs the series), and eight months have passed in Dillon life.
