The comedic genius of Laurel and Hardy

The American Cinematheque’s Egyptian Theatre is celebrating the comedic genius of Laurel and Hardy in conjunction with the Laurel and Hardy fan club the Sons of the Desert, which is holding its international convention in Hollywood this week. Screening Wednesday are fun curios including a Spanish trailer from 1933’s “Sons of the Desert” as well the duo’s classic 1937 comedy hit “Way Out West.” There are more shorts and rarities in store on July 6, including the 1932 short “County Hospital” and the sentimental 1954 episode of “This Is Your Life” with the duo.
