Demi Lovato not engaged to Wilmer Valderrama yet, but ‘wouldn’t mind’

There may not be an engagement ring on Demi Lovato’s finger now, but the “Confident” singer is all for putting one there in the future.

The “Sonny With a Chance” alum cleared up rumors that she was already affianced to long-time boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama during a Wednesday appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” when the host asked about the rumors surrounding the couple.

“I don’t see a ring,” Lovato said. “I wouldn’t mind if I saw one, but there’s time for everything.”

The singer-actress and the “That ‘70s Show” alum have dated on and off for about five years, and to Lovato, that’s already the beginning of the long haul.

“There’s time for everything. We’ve been together this long ... obviously I’m not going anywhere and vice versa” she said.

The PDA-happy pair haven’t hidden their romance, constantly posting gushy messages and selfies together on social media.

“I met him six years ago. We were friends at first — I mean, I was head over heels and he was like, ‘Oh, stay away until you’re old enough,’” the 23-year-old said, referencing the flack they got for their 13-year age difference early in their relationship.

Lovato also discussed her stance on healthy body image during the show, pegged to her nude, makeup-free and unretouched spread for Vanity Fair last October.

“When I was growing up in the age where your body starts changing and you want to be cool, it was in the era when very very thin people were popular in Hollywood,” Lovato said. “After having had my issue with eating, looking back, I want to be the difference for people growing up because I wish that somebody had gone to me when I was 12 or 13 and say, ‘Hey, you don’t have to look like that.’”

She said that when the Kardashians first came on the scene, that was the first time that she associated curves with beauty and credited them for helping her embrace her own body.

“Even in a time when I was still struggling with food I was able to look at Kim [Kardashian’s] curves and be like ‘I should really be proud of my curves,’” she said. “It made me feel more confident in my skin to do that Vanity Fair shoot.”

It’s not the first time the singer has championed the reality TV star either. In August 2014, Lovato applauded her in an interview with “Access Hollywood.”

“I really credit women like Beyonce and Kim Kardashian… [they] completely revolutionized what our generation’s view of perception of what beautiful is and I really think that they had a huge impact on that,” Lovato explained.

“You can think whatever you want about the Kardashians, but they really did help tons of women feel comfortable in their own skin, and I like to carry that message on.”
