One item not included in my recent Arts & Books article on Atoms for Peace was the fact that Thom Yorke wore a tank top during the band’s semi-secret club show last month in Los Angeles.

Big deal, you might be thinking.

But given the bookish shut-in look Yorke famously adopted in the video for Radiohead’s “Creep” -- a song that, as BuzzFeed reminds us, was ruling airwaves exactly 20 summers ago -- the frontman’s choice of a shoulder-baring shirt actually felt kind of significant.

TIMELINE: Summer’s must see concerts

This was basically as close as we’ll ever get to picturing Yorke as a member of a beach volleyball team.

Now you can see for yourself in a video clip from the gig, which served as a test run for some of the material Atoms for Peace will play on the world tour it’s set to launch Saturday in Paris.

The L.A.-based band -- which in addition to Yorke includes Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, drummer Joey Waronker and percussionist Mauro Refosco -- is to circle back here in mid-October for shows at the Hollywood Bowl and the Santa Barbara Bowl.

Watch “Dropped” below and “Default” (which includes a bit of naughty language) on YouTube.
