Coldplay will issue its first concert film/live album in nine years, the band announced Friday.

“Live 2012” will arrive Nov. 19 on CD/DVD, and the release is taken from the band’s acclaimed Mylo Xyloto world tour, which concludes in Australia at the end of the month. The set also includes footage from shows at Paris’ Stade de France, Montreal’s Bell Centre and last year’s headlining performance at Glastonbury Festival.

Before hitting stores, the film will have a one-off run in theaters at special screenings on Nov. 13. EMI/Parlophone and Arts Alliance Media teamed up with Screenvision to distribute the film to U.S. cinemas. Paul Dugdale, who helmed Adele’s “Live at the Royal Albert Hall” and the Prodigy’s “World’s On Fire” concert films directed.

“The Mylo Xyloto tour has been the most fun we’ve ever had as a band. It’s felt very uplifting right from the start; partly because we are proud of the music, the LED wristbands, the pyrotechnics, the lasers and all of that stuff, but mainly because of the amazing audiences that we’ve been playing for,” frontman Chris Martin said in a statement. “Over the years, our crowd has become more and more a part of the concert itself. They’re loud, diverse, full of soul, and make the songs sound much better than we can on our own. We wanted to try to bottle the incredible feeling that they give us, and hence our concert film.”

Coldplay will also issue “Mylo Xyloto Live,” an eBook companion to the film on iTunes the day of the album’s release.
