Unless you have kids, you may not have heard of Cartoon Network's "The Amazing World of Gumball," but among its target audience the show is a huge hit. So big that Cartoon Network has picked it up for two more seasons.
The series, which combines 2-D and 3-D animation, is currently airing its third season. The renewal takes it through a fifth season.
"Gumball's" second season was ranked No. 1 in kids 6-11 in its time slot and has won an Annie Award for best animated TV production for children as well as five BAFTA Children's Awards.
The series follows the adventures of Gumball, a 12-year-old blue cat, and his best friend, a goldfish named Darwin, as they travel to a new town with a family of bunnies that includes a stay-at-home-dad bunny and a 4-year-old genius bunny.
"Gumball" is the creation of English animator Ben Bocquelet and is produced at Cartoon Network's EMEA studio in London.
