The network just wrapped up its best first month to the fall season since 2007, according to Nielsen. Through the week that ended Sunday, NBC has piled up the largest margin over its nearest rival in 11 years in the crucial adults aged 18 to 49 demographic.
Of course, much of that commanding performance was football-fueled. The most-watched program last week was NBC's Sunday telecast of the Denver-Indianapolis game, which drew nearly 27 million.
