It’s time now for another media mini-feud! This bout features two media personalities who are no strangers to duking it out in public: CNN host Piers Morgan and Fox News contributor (and former politician) Sarah Palin.

This skirmish began when Morgan tweeted a link to an article on the satirical site Daily Currant on Thursday. The story claimed that Palin, during an appearance on the Fox News program “Fox and Friends,” talked about the ways in which Jesus Christ celebrated Easter during his lifetime.

The article was fake, but Morgan tweeted it, saying, “And she’s back!”

After people pointed out that the Daily Currant is a satire site, he told them he was aware of that but thought the idea hilarious because it was believable.

On Friday, Palin responded with a message on her Facebook page. Under a photo of her posing with a dead bear and the message “Piers: Kind of busy right now,” she wrote the following note:

“Oh dear Piers, thank you so much for all your invitations to appear on your shambolic show, including the adoring message you sent. But is it still any wonder why I’ve politely responded that I’m too busy doing, um, er... pretty much anything to accept the invite? (At least I didn’t tell you to “get stuffed”.) And to all our British friends: we ask, what did your friends across the pond ever do to you to deserve your Piers?”

Morgan responded by saying the offer to come on his show still stands, if she had “the guts to do it.”

The ball is now in Palin’s court. Will she return fire? Call a truce? Pose with more dead animals?

The rest of the world waits with bated breath.
