Nelson Mandela in Movies Starz and Encore channels are simulcasting three movies depicting the life of Mandela. Up first, the 1996 documentary “Mandela” at noon. At 2 p.m. Sidney Poitier and Michael Caine star in 1997’s “Mandela and de Klerk” and at 4, Abdullah Ibrahim, Duma Ka Ndlovu are featured in Filmmaker Lee Hirsch’s 2002 “Amandla! A Revolution in Four-Part Harmony.”

Hats Off to Christmas! Haylie Duff stars in this new drama as a young widow who manages a small-town shop selling Christmas hats. 8 p.m. Hallmark

Christmas on the Bayou When a workaholic executive (Hilarie Burton) returns to her Southern hometown for Christmas, her childhood sweetheart (Tyler Hilton) tries to rekindle their romance and persuade her to stay. Ed Asner, Markie Post and Randy Travis also star. 8 p.m. Lifetime
