Another option is a new online accessories store, Vicolo Mio, that can help you figure out the finishing touches to choose. Through the website’s “Style Me” option, shoppers can pay $35 to get personalized advice on shoes, handbags and jewelry to complement any outfit.

Here’s how it works. First you sign up on Vicolo Mio’s Style Me page. Then email pictures of your outfit, and the website adviser will respond with suggestions for accessories.

It seems to be part of a nascent trend of websites that offer more guidance to shoppers, who otherwise would have to dig through an overwhelming number of choices.
