Arden Reed’s high-tech tailoring truck rolls into Los Angeles

Share

Fashion on wheels seems to be all the rage these days, as my colleague Adam Tschorn has reported.

Starting Monday, custom tailoring company Arden Reed plans to roll into town, parking its truck at Mansion Fitness in West Hollywood. The high-tech truck is equipped with a 3-D body scanner, fitting room, waiting room and product display case. According to the company, the body scanner is powered by 14 sensors that shoot images from six angles and seven heights, producing a 1.5-million-point full body scan.

The truck and tailors will be at Mansion Fitness, 7912 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

On Friday, they plan to move over to the W Hotel Los Angeles at 930 Hilgard Ave. in Westwood, where they’ll be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The W will also be hosting a women’s mobile pop-up, Le Fashion Truck, on Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The pink boutique on wheels features clothing, jewelry and accessories from local and emerging designers.

Sounds like a fun way to spend a lunchtime.
