The Los Angeles Fashion Council has announced its plans for showcasing spring and summer 2015 designer collections -- as well as a partnership with FashionWeekLA.com.

Word comes from LAFC organizer Kelsi Smith that her group has partnered with workspace collective Maker City L.A in the former L.A. Mart building (recently rechristened the Reef) downtown for two to three days of shows, presentations and accessory installations scheduled to take place from Oct. 7 to 9.

Interested designers can apply for consideration through the Los Angeles Fashion Council website.

Smith also informs us that the LAFC has partnered with Jen Uner, founder/owner of FashionWeekLA.com, a site that for the last 12 years has tried to herd the cats of Los Angeles Fashion Week’s ever-changing elements into a comprehensive, manageable single calendar.

That site will be relaunching in August as a multi-production platform to serve both fashion week attendees and producers ... a calendar, a one-stop shop for attendee registration and information.”

In addition, Smith says it will offer PR and front-of-house production services “to eligible productions in the city of Los Angeles.”
