Prom clothing drive planned by South Bay Galleria

Working Wardrobes partners with South Bay Galleria to gather, distribute prom clothes

If you're cleaning out your closet and wondering what to do with gently used formal attire, South Bay Galleria and Working Wardrobes' Designing Women South Bay guild have a solution.

Donate those gowns, shoes, purses, accessories, tuxes, cumberbunds and other formal attire at their annual prom clothing drive.

Items may be dropped off at the mall food court on level 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 7. Donated clothing should be clean and on hangers. The mall is at 1815 Hawthorne Blvd. in Redondo Beach.

The formalwear is to be distributed to high school students at Working Wardrobes' prom event on April 11.

Warehouse sale

Kelly Wearstler plans a one-day sale of vintage furniture and home items from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 1428 Channing St., Los Angeles.
