Sarah Jessica Parker to show off new shoe collection at the Grove

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker is scheduled to show off her new shoe collection in L.A. on Thursday.

The fashion-savvy Parker teamed with Manolo Blahnik Chief Executive Officer George Malkemus to develop the much-anticipated SJP collection, which launched exclusively at Nordstrom on Friday. It includes 25 made-in-Italy shoe styles ($195-$485), three handbags ($245-$375) and one trench coat ($495), as writer Ingrid Schmidt explained in a Q&A with Parker on All the Rage on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Parker is scheduled to present the collection from 5 to 6 p.m. at Nordstrom at the Grove. She will meet customers and sign their SPJ purchases, as time permits.

The event is scheduled for the Salon Shoes department on level one of Nordstrom. The Grove is at 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles.

Vision Street Wear plans to unveil its spring 2014 collection and the opening of a pop-up shop at an event from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday at Conveyor at Fred Segal, 420 Broadway, Santa Monica. There will be light snacks, beverages from Pabst Blue Ribbon and Vita Coco and music by DJ Germ*One. The pop-up is to be open through the end of the month.

Barneys at the Grove hosts a beauty event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday featuring mini-makeovers by celebrity makeup artist Troy Surratt and facials by skincare line Tatcha. Guests may walk in or make an appointment by calling Barneys at (323) 761-5255.

The Helms Design District Vintage Boutique sponsored by Clever Vintage Clothing plans its first show of the year from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Light Space Studio, 8755 W. Washington Blvd., Venice. Tickets range from free to $5, depending on when they are purchased, and are available on eventbrite or at the door.

Clothing label DKNY celebrates its 25th birthday on Saturday with Champagne, cupcakes, music and 25% discounts at several DKNY boutiques including those at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa and Westfield Century City in Los Angeles, as well as at Las Vegas’ Forum Shops at Caesar’s. The event is scheduled from 2 to 5 p.m. in all locations.
