Snoopy, the world’s most sophisticated beagle, is getting all dressed up, along with his sister Belle, thanks to a who’s who of fashion designers and trend setters.

“Snoopy and Belle in Fashion” opened Monday night at New York’s New Museum Sky Room, in the middle of New York Fashion Week. The exhibit includes vinyl dolls of the two “Peanuts” canine characters dressed in one-of-a-kind couture creations by Anna Sui, Betsey Johnson, Bibhu Mohapatra, Calvin Klein Collection, Christian Siriano, Costello Tagliapietra, DKNY, Diane von Furstenberg, Dsquared2, Dries Van Noten, Emanuel Ungaro, Isaac Mizrahi, Isabel Marant, J.Mendel, Kenneth Cole, Lisa Perry, MAC Cosmetics, Opening Ceremony, Philip Treacy, Rodarte, Royal Asscher, Swarovski, Tracy Reese, VPL by Victoria Bartlett and Zac Posen.

The exhibition opens as “Peanuts” prepares to celebrate major milestones including the Charles Schulz comic strip’s 65th anniversary in 2015, the first “Peanuts” 3-D feature film (scheduled for release in fall 2015) and the 30th anniversary of the inaugural “Snoopy in Fashion” event of the 1980s, which went on to exhibit at the Louvre in Paris and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
