You dream of a getaway to Tahiti (or perhaps it’s just a day trip to Topanga). You conjure visions of sun and surf, swaying palms and fragrant blooms.

Luckily, you can dress the part.

Fausto Puglisi used palm trees in prints on long skirts and kicky dresses. And at Balenciaga, Alexander Wang put a haute spin on that beach bum staple — dolphin shorts — rendering them in supple woven leather.

In the accessories department, Kotur’s Kemble clutch is finished with a bouquet of tropical silk flowers, and Tom Ford’s men’s floral silk slippers are topped with crocodile tassels. Bulgari’s Summer necklace is one incredible piece. Part of the Four Seasons high jewelry collection, the sparkler is a spectacular combination of yellow gold, amethysts, garnets and emerald “leaves.”

Then there’s Delfina Delettrez’s beguiling watch-bracelet, a trip in and of itself. The piece doesn’t have a numbered face, only a painted green quartz dome — permanently set to island time.
