Celebrities, bloggers, stylists and fashion editors met for lunch at the Chateau Marmont Thursday to celebrate Rebecca Taylor, who was in town to mark the launch of her La Vie collection at Nordstrom.

It’s been a packed schedule for the New York designer, whose company opened a store in Florida on Wednesday, the same day she visited the Nordstrom at University Towne Center in San Diego. This week it was Nordstrom at the Grove, and she also planned to make her way south to the Rebecca Taylor store at Fashion Island in Orange County.

At Thursday’s private lunch, guests sipped Champagne and nibbled on a lunch of arugula salad, salmon and other fare served family style across a table in the garden. Attendees included Kristen Bell, Liana Liberato, Jane Levy, Annabelle Wallis, Marlien Rentmeester and Lisa Dengler.

“I love how ladylike and wearable everything is,” Bell said of the designer’s line. “It often makes me feel whimsical.”

Bell, who stars in the NBC sitcom “The Good Place,” was wearing a full Rebecca Taylor outfit and gushed, “the denim is just epic.”

Taylor, who planned to head back to New York on Friday following her Orange County store visit, called Nordstrom “phenomenal partners.”

She’s working on two collections and also said the brand is in the midst of a retail expansion, with the store at the Aventura Mall in Florida having just bowed. It’s a good time to provide customers with an in-store experience that is something more than a place to click and drop things in a digital shopping cart, Taylor said.

“Brick-and-mortar is at a very interesting time,” the designer said. “I feel like it’s an excellent time for pop-up stores because a lot of our customers are migrating. It’s wonderful to have a space you can decorate and to provide an experience. … If brick-and-mortar weren’t around, it would be sad to lose all that.”
