Emma Watson’s rumored coupling with Prince Harry had fans of the “Harry Potter” star and British royal going grade-A bonkers last week, but Watson has pertly shut down reports that the two are “getting to know each other quite well.”

“WORLD Remember that little talk we had about not believing everything written in the media?!” the United Nations Women goodwill ambassador tweeted Sunday, presumably referring to reports that she and the 30-year-old prince had started dating.

Watson, 24, added: “also..... marrying a Prince not a prerequisite for being a Princess. ... - Courtesy of Alfonso Cuaron,” linking to a YouTube clip of the director’s 1995 film “A Little Princess,” namely the scene in which Sara Crewe insists that all girls are princesses (no matter where they live or how they dress, etc.).

Though we would fully approve of this do-gooder coupling, alas, the secret romance has turned out to be a figment of Australian Woman’s Day’s reporting.

The mag said that the fourth in line to the British throne reached out to the “Beauty and the Beast” star via mutual friends after she split with her rugby-player beau last fall.

The Invictus Games patron reportedly sent her an e-mail saying he’d “like to get to know her” and invited her to go out with him and 12 other friends. Then, the mag said, he was “smitten.”

Unfortunately, none of this appears to be true, but we do love the idea of a prince pining for a Hollywood star. It’s all very Grace of Monaco -- except in this case they’re both British.

Watson has hobnobbed with royalty in the past. Last May, she attended Prince William’s cancer charity event and she’s already met the brothers’ dad, Prince Charles.
