Anyone on the lookout for an ultra-luxe cellphone need venture no further than Paris or London, now that Savelli products are available in the Printemps and Harrod’s department stores.

At Wednesday’s launch party in Paris, hosted by Julia Restoin Roitfeld and company owner Alex Savelli, guests got their first glimpse of the high-tech treasures. Handcrafted in Switzerland, the phones are backed in ostrich, alligator and other precious skins and feature highly polished stainless steel, 18-karat rose gold, sculptural ceramic edging and, in one case, gem-set diamonds.

The phones range from 8,300 to 108,000 euros. That’s about $10,000 to $140,000 in U.S. dollars. So the phones are not for the budget-minded.

But then, no pennies were pinched at the lavish world premiere either, where the hosts feted 400 guests at the Jacquemart-André Museum. Once a private mansion, the stately salon still houses the artworks its original owners collected throughout their lives and bequeathed, along with their home, to the Institute of France.

As the Perrier-Jouet flowed and noted deejay Stephane Pompougnac provided the music, guests could admire the antique masterpieces, along with the new phones, while partying in the resplendent galleries and gardens.

Restoin Roitfeld, posing with a phone, described herself as the company’s creative consultant and a new mom. The daughter of former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld, Restoin Roitfeld is featured in the Savelli catalog.
