Carl’s Jr. super bacon burger: Six slices of bacon and dubstep

Share

What could make a commercial about the Carl’s Jr. super bacon burger a must-watch? Having Harley Morenstein and Alex Perrault from the Canadian “Epic Meal Time” videos eat super bacon burgers to dubstep, with sound effects.

You can never have too much bacon. Or at least that should be the motto behind the new Carl’s Jr. super bacon burger. No less than six strips of bacon cover the burger ($3.99).

Sound effects overemphasize the sound of the crispy bacon. There are also plenty of close-up shots of the two faces eating the bacon. Some of them involving a cross-eyed Morenstein shoving all six strips of bacon in his mouth at once with the word “bacon” spelled out in giant white letters.

According to the Carl’s Jr. website, you can get a single super bacon burger or a double with an extra patty. If you’d like to go extra cray with your bacon, you can opt to get the burger “epic style” with 12 strips.

It’s over the top, and we wouldn’t expect anything less from the guys who brought us bacon group therapy and a hockey goalie made completely out of meat.

Actually, if you really think about it, the only thing that could make this commercial any better is probably a 13th strip of bacon. You decide.
