Food Network star Guy Fieri is known for his bleached spiky tips and for eating “off the hook” fried food you wish you could eat, if heart disease didn’t exist. He’s also known as the guy whose Lamborghini was stolen by a thief who rappelled into a car dealership.

Now the teen who stole Fieri’s car has been sentenced to life in prison.

Max Wade, 19, was sentenced Thursday to the life term. That isn’t just for stealing the car belonging to the “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” star. Last October, Wade was found guilty of attempted murder in connection with a drive-by shooting in April 2013 in Mill Valley, Calif.

While investigating the shooting, detectives searched Wade’s storage locker and -- surprise! -- found Fieri’s yellow Lamborghini. The $200,000 vehicle had been lifted while it was under repair at a San Francisco dealership in 2011. The jury in the case heard evidence of how Wade rappelled into the business to steal the car.

As the L.A. Times reported in October, prosecutors said Wade stole the super snazzy car to impress a girl and was willing to kill to get her attention.

In a bit of an understatement, Fieri said at the time: “It’s been a really crazy story.”
