Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers quiz George R.R. Martin on his own books

George R.R. Martin visited “Late Night With Seth Meyers” on Tuesday, but instead of being asked about the next book in the “Song of Ice and Fire” series that he’s working on, he got quizzed about the previous books in the series from avowed fans Meyers and Amy Poehler.

The five published books in the series are door-stoppers, with book three, “A Storm of Swords,” weighing in at over 1,000 pages. And his current book, “The World of Ice and Fire,” is a large encyclopedia of history and arcana about his made-up fantasy world. So Martin could be forgiven if some of the details he’s written over the years have slipped his mind.

Still, Poehler and Meyers put the author through his paces, quoting lines from all of his books. And while he got several of them, from characters such as Melisandre, Tyrion and Cersei, there were a few that not even hardcore fans of the books would remember.

Westeros 9 meteorologist Breeze Daniels? Winterfell math tutor Mrs. Puddlefinch?

Apparently, Poehler and Meyers delved deep into a subbasement of “Game of Thrones” history that not even Martin himself could fathom.

Curious to see how you’d stack up against the master of “Ice and Fire” himself? Try to figure out who said this: “It’s hot in here. Mind if I take my top off?”

That one stumped even Martin himself.
