Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas of ‘Once Upon a Time’ buy a vintage home in Encino

Share

Actors Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas, both on the television show “Once Upon a Time,” have bought a Traditional-style home in Encino for $3.45 million.

The 5,758-square-foot home appears in the listing photos to have received a liberal slathering of white paint at some point, and seems ripe for personalization. Yet the home’s 1935 vintage charm shines through the beveled glass windows despite the recent remodeling.

Good bones is what it’s all about in real estate, and this place has them. A formal entry, a living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room, a bar, a playroom, a gym, six bedrooms, five bathrooms and a powder room are within the two stories of living space. Vaulted wood ceilings add visual interest.

The one-third-acre lot has magnificent mature trees and a tall privacy hedge. A saltwater swimming pool and a built-in barbecue with a bar are among the outdoor amenities.

The red-brick accented house previously changed hands in 2007 for $3.1 million. Hat tip goes to Celebrity Address Aerial for noting the sale.
