Add Michael Malone’s home in Granite Bay to this year’s free agent crop. The new Denver Nuggets head coach on Tuesday listed the Northern California property for sale at $1.3 million.

Malone, formerly coach for the Sacramento Kings, bought the house in 2013 for $1.24 million, records show.

Marked by a courtyard entry, the two-story Traditional was built in 1995 and features arched doorways, beamed ceilings and wood floors. Among living spaces are step-up living and dining rooms, an eat-in kitchen, an office with a fireplace and a wine cellar.

The downstairs master bedroom sports a fireplace and a soaking tub. In all there are five bedrooms, five bathrooms and three fireplaces in 4,891 square feet.

Outdoors, landscaped grounds of more than half an acre center on a swimming pool and spa lined in mosaic tile. Elsewhere is covered patio with a built-in barbecue and a large fountain feature.

Malone, 44, was relieved of his duties as head coach of the Kings in December, 24 games into his second season with the team. He reached an agreement to become the next coach of the Nuggets in June.

Jeffrey Anderson and Janet Hayden of Coldwell Banker are the listing agents.
