Hollywood leading man Leonardo DiCaprio has put an oceanfront home on Malibu’s Carbon Beach on the market for $10.95 million — nearly seven times what he paid for the property two decades ago.

The remodeled 1950s bungalow had been listed for lease last year at $23,000 a month or $50,000 a month as a summer rental.

Entered through a gated courtyard and screened porch, the house includes a living room with a fireplace, a dining area, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. An updated galley-style kitchen draws the eye with gray herringbone tile and matching cabinetry.

Outdoor features include a beach-facing balcony and, below it, a patio with a hot tub and a transparent guardrail. A wooden staircase from the patio leads directly to the sandy beach below.

The property last changed hands in 1998 for $1.6 million, records show. Katie Bentzen of Partners Trust Malibu holds the current listing.

Getting away with a home sale

Actress Viola Davis, who won an Emmy last year for her leading role on “How to Get Away With Murder,” has bought a home in Toluca Lake for $5.7 million, The Times has confirmed.

Completed last year, the European-inspired two-story sits behind fences on nearly half an acre of grounds. A colorful stacked-stone walkway leads past a fountain feature and up to a covered front porch.

Inside, layers of gray set the tone for the roughly 7,500 square feet of living space. In the chef’s kitchen, vibrant stone countertops and modern fixtures create visual contrast against light-gray cabinetry. Similarly dressed formal rooms continue the sophisticated vibe.

Other features of note include a custom theater with a 4K projector, an office/library and a wet bar. A 600-bottle wine cellar sits behind a glass door in the formal dining room.

The master suite includes a fireplace, a separate sitting room and a balcony for a total of five bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

French doors off the main floor open to a patio containing a built-in barbecue and outdoor living room. A saltwater swimming pool, a fire pit, lawns and hedges fill out the backyard setting.

Real estate is no funny business

Comedian and actor Russell Peters is ready to part with another of his Los Angeles-area homes. After listing his house in Studio City for sale earlier this year, Peters has put his estate on more than an acre in Malibu on the market for $11.95 million.

Remodeled and expanded a year ago, the two-story home offers a sizable 10,000 square feet of living space with a total of nine bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.

Among amenities of note are a contemporary kitchen with an oversized island, a family room with a marble-topped wet bar, a gym and a 10-seat home theater. The master suite, with his and hers vanities and a sauna, opens to a wraparound patio with a view of the grounds.

On the main level, walls of glass slide to reveal a stone-lined patio, fire pit and newly added swimming pool. A large motor court with parking for as many 15 vehicles sits at the end of the gated driveway.

Peters bought the house two years ago for $4.725 million, records show.

Desiree Zuckerman of Rodeo Realty holds the listing.

The 45-year-old Peters has produced a number of comedy specials including “Outsourced” and, more recently, “Notorious.” Among his film credits are “Source Code” (2011) and “Chef” (2014).

He voiced the character Rocky the Rhino in “The Jungle Book” this year.

Peters’ other home, a renovated Mediterranean on about half an acre in Studio City, is currently listed at $2.799 million.

Larry Sanders once slept here

The hacienda-style home, built in 1992, sits behind walls on an acre-plus lot with a gated courtyard, lush landscaping and a rock-style swimming pool. A basketball half-court where Shandling would host pickup games also lies within the grounds.

Within nearly 6,100 square feet of living space are a living room with vaulted ceilings, a formal dining room, an office and a central atrium. The master suite has his and hers bathrooms and closets for a total of five bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

Views from the property take in the surrounding canyon, cityscape and ocean.

Shandling, who died in March at 66, had owned the property for more than two decades, records show.

The pioneering television star gained fame in the late 1980s with the series “It’s Garry Shandling’s Show.” In the ’90s, he starred in “The Larry Sanders Show.” His film credits include “What Planet Are You From?” (2000), “Town & Country” (2001) and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” (2014).

Seeing green in the desert

Jordan Farmar’s next pass may play out away from the court. The local basketball product, who won two NBA titles with the Lakers, has put his three-story home in the Las Vegas area on the market for $3.875 million.

Completed this year, the 6,185-square-foot contemporary was awarded LEED Platinum status by the U.S. Green Building Council for its efficient and energy-saving construction.

Among green features are installed solar panels, intelligent fireplaces and a weather-sensitive irrigation system. Sustainable building materials were incorporated into the five-bedroom design.

Inside, an open floor plan was designed for indoor-outdoor entertaining and features sliding glass doors that open to a central courtyard with a turf play area and a TV lounge. An elevator services each floor plus a five-bay garage.

An upper-level viewing deck has a billiards table, a fire pit and a view of the surrounding city and mountains. Also within the grounds are an infinity-edge swimming pool, oversized fire features and a lounge.
