Despite the presence of pumpkin-spice-flavored everything to welcome the return of autumn, Southern California will be in the sweaty grip of triple-digit temperatures Monday. So if you need sweet relief from the heat, numerous cooling centers will be available throughout the region.

In Los Angeles County, residents can call 211 for L.A. County or 311 for L.A. City officials for information about where to cool down and about what to do when it gets too hot. Local libraries have been recommended as reliable places to escape the heat.

A full list of cooling shelters throughout L.A. County can be found here: css.lacounty.gov
