Indiana law: A March 29 article in Section A on a new Indiana law on religious rights implied that the state voted for Republican presidential candidates in 2008 and 2012. Democrat Barack Obama won the state in 2008, and Republican Mitt Romney won it in 2012.

Arturo Vargas: In the March 29 California section, the headline with a Chat & Selfie interview of Arturo Vargas, executive director of the National Assn. of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials, described him as an L.A. native. He was born in El Paso, not Los Angeles.

Hawthorne shooting: In the April 4 California section, an article about the fatal shooting of Denise Berry, a motorist in Hawthorne, misspelled the name of one of her friends. She is Cheryl Lomax, not Iomax.
