Earthquake: 3.7 quake strikes near Yountville, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.7 earthquake was reported Thursday evening five miles from Yountville, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 9:04 p.m. at a depth of 4.3 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was nine miles from Napa, 14 miles from Sonoma, 15 miles from Vacaville and 42 miles from Sacramento.

In the past 10 days, there have been two earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
