Crime alerts for Hollywood Hills West and other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 11 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Eight neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Pacoima (A) was the most unusual, recording 13 reports compared with a weekly average of 3.8 over the last three months.

Hollywood Hills West (I) topped the list of three neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 10 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 5.1 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for April 6–April 12, the most recent seven days for which data are available. This post was automatically created by an algorithm written by the authors.
