Amanda Bynes’ bong arrest could bring more legal woes in L.A.

Amanda Bynes’ arrest in New York could spell trouble for the TV star back in Los Angeles, where she has had several run-ins with the law and is currently on probation.

Last year, she pleaded no contest to driving with a suspended license in a case filed by the Los Angeles city attorney. She was placed on three years informal probation and a second charge was dismissed.

The Los Angeles district attorney’s office has filed a driving under the influence case against her for an incident last year in which she allegedly hit a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department cruiser in West Hollywood.

Jane Robison, a district attorney’s office spokeswoman, said Friday that case is still pending.

Bynes was arrested Thursday after she allegedly tossed a bong out of her Manhattan apartment window, according to the Ministry of Gossip.

The “What I Like About You” star was reported to police about 7:40 p.m. after an employee at the 47th Street high-rise where she lives alleged she was smoking marijuana in the building’s lobby, acting erratically and supposedly talking to herself, Reuters reported.

Bynes was charged Friday with attempted evidence tampering, reckless endangerment and marijuana possession.

Because Bynes is still on probation in California, it’s possible a judge in that case could review the latest charges against her.

At one point last year, Bynes had her drivers’ license suspended after she was accused in a hit-and-run case.
