Chicago Bulls player Ronnie Brewer pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges that he was driving drunk at nearly twice the alcohol limit when Beverly Hills police stopped him by Rodeo Drive.
Los Angeles County Deputy Dist. Atty. Karine Fong said Brewer is charged with two misdemeanor counts -- driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and driving with more than a .08 percent blood alcohol content.
Prosecutors alleged the 6-foot-7 small forward had a concentration of blood alcohol of 0.15 or higher during the Feb. 19 traffic stop by Beverly Hills police at Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Boulevard.
Brewer was charged in early May.
