Odom refused during an Aug. 30 stop to take a blood or alcohol test, a decision that usually automatically leads to losing a license for a year.
Odom was driving about 50 mph in his white Mercedes in the early morning hours when he was pulled over on the 101 Freeway. CHP officers said he was driving in a "serpentine manner" and continued past several freeway exits while authorities tried to pull him over.
Odom showed signs of intoxication and could not pass field sobriety tests, a CHP report said. He refused all chemical tests at Van Nuys jail.
