Long Beach man arrested in fatal stabbing
A Long Beach man has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman, whose body was found inside an apartment Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
Luis Antonio Jimenezmolina, 32, was booked on suspicion of murder in the death of Margarita Valdez Castro, 68, police said. He is being held in the Long Beach Jail in lieu of $2 million bail.
Police were called to the apartment in the 1100 block of Locust Avenue about 12:50 p.m. Saturday after the victim’s body was discovered, said police spokeswoman Marlene Arrona.

The victim had sustained a stab wound to the torso, police said.
The motive for the stabbing was unknown, but it did not appear to be random, police said.
