19-year-old man stabbed to death near Azusa

Man is stabbed to death in a residential area near Azusa
If the fatal stabbing of a man Tuesday is ruled a homicide, it would be the first in about a year in Citrus

A 19-year-old man was stabbed to death Tuesday afternoon in an unincorporated area near Azusa, authorities said.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to the 5000 block of Orange Glen Street about 3:20 p.m., according to a department statement.

The victim's family members had found him unresponsive and covered in blood, and called paramedics. 

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives are investigating the incident as a homicide and searching for suspects.

If Tuesday's incident is ruled a homicide, it will be the first murder in nearly a year in the unincorporated neighborhood of Citrus, according to the Los Angeles Times Homicide Report.
