Man sought in fatal stabbing of stepdaughter

Law enforcement authorities on Wednesday night were seeking the public’s help in finding a Hawthorne man suspected of fatally stabbing his stepdaughter.

Alvin Hunt Jr. allegedly stabbed Naquia Danielle Catching on Saturday at their home in the 4800 block of West 118th Place, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Department authorities said the victim’s body was found several hours later after Hunt had fled.

Hunt is African American with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5-feet-3 and weighs 160 pounds, authorities said.
