One of two people arrested Thursday on suspicion of stealing
Tylor Morgan Scott, 19, of Arizona and Naomi Charles, 21, of Los Angeles were taken into custody at about 11 a.m. in the 5300 block of Lankershim Boulevard on suspicion of burglarizing the pop star's home last Friday, Los Angeles police Officer Drake Madison said.
A bench warrant has also been issued for Scott as part of a grand jury indictment in Maricopa County for alleged vehicle theft, burglary and drug-related charges, according to court records.
He also has a shoplifting conviction in 2013 in Chandler, Ariz.
Scott apparently moved to Los Angeles in March, according to his Facebook page.
Scott and Charles were apparently a couple and tried modeling. Charles appeared in a rap video for the artist OnlyFuturistic.
Detectives began investigating the two after receiving numerous tips about the burglary at Cyrus' home,
Police recovered Cyrus' stolen 2014 Maserati Quattroporte earlier this week after it was discovered abandoned on a street in Simi Valley.
Cyrus, who is on an international leg of her Bangerz music tour, wasn't home when thieves made off with jewelry and her Maserati.
Authorities said they believed a man and woman broke into Cyrus' house by climbing a fence around 4 p.m. and going through the garage. Her assistant noticed items missing during a check on the home about midnight Saturday and called Los Angeles police.
Burglars took several items, including jewelry, and drove off in the white, four-door luxury sports car.
After arresting Scott and Charles, police seized their vehicle, which contained valuables and other items suspected of being stolen property.
