A car driver who was killed when his vehicle plunged 150 feet down the side on Mt. Baldy on Tuesday has been identified as a 60-year-old Pico Rivera resident.

Dennis Sandoval was found inside a car near Mt. Baldy and Shinn roads about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Los Angeles County coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said.

When officers arrived, the vehicle was lodged in an embankment in the Angeles National Forest, Dietz said.
