Cindi Kauffman was in downtown Los Angeles in July in search of street art. On skid row, she found this mural, which she felt captured the circumstances of some of the district’s residents. “I talked to people down there who had graduated college with different degrees and somehow or other they just couldn’t get off skid row,” Kauffman said. She used a Nikon D7000.
