A transient pleaded no contest Friday to a stalking charge after breaking into singer Selena Gomez’s guest house on her Calabasas property the same day he was released from jail for doing the same thing.

Che Thomas Cruz, 20, was placed on probation for three years and ordered to go to a residential treatment facility for 180 days, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

Cruz was released from jail April 4, only to be arrested again at Gomez’s house after jumping a fence. He had previously been arrested March 30 in a bathroom of a guest house on a property that was then being purchased by Gomez.

That time, he received a sentence of 45 days in jail, although he only served two days of that sentence.

Once Cruz leaves the treatment facility, he must undergo a year of psychological treatment.

A 10-year protective order prevents Cruz from coming within 200 yards of Gomez and any residence she lives in or owns.
