Victorville man, 19, accused of killing sister, 17, during a domestic dispute

A 19-year-old Victorville man has been arrested on suspicion of shooting his teenage sister to death during a domestic dispute, authorities said Friday.

Raymond Bahena turned himself in to authorities Wednesday in connection with the shooting death of his 17-year-old sister, Gloria Guzman, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

The siblings were visiting a home in the 16000 block of Desert Sands Road when an argument began, sheriff's spokeswoman Jodi Miller said.

The argument escalated and a fight ensued, she said.

At some point during the fight, Bahena allegedly shot his sister.

Family members transported her to a local hospital, where she later died. A man at the home was also taken to a hospital for treament of a minor injury. He was not identified.

Detectives were looking for additional witnesses who were at the home during the shooting.

"We know there are others that have not come forward," Miller said.

Anyone with details about the shooting is urged to call Sgt. Chris Fisher at (909) 387-3589. To remain anonymous, call (800) 782-7463.
