Crews working to shut off water main break in Fairfax
Crews with the L.A. Department of Water and Power were working Thursday night to shut down the flow of water from a broken main in Fairfax.
Water began to spew from the 8-inch pipe about 5:15 p.m. at Rosewood Avenue and North Curson Avenue, said Terry Schneider, a spokeswoman for the DWP.
“Right now crews [are] on the scene gathering information and working to shut off the water as quickly and safely as possible,” she said.
Schneider said she didn’t know if or how many customers might have been affected by the rupture. Officials weren’t aware of any damage or injuries caused by the water main break.
