2 female Louisiana teachers suspected of group sex with male student

Two female Louisiana high school English teachers have been arrested for allegedly having a threesome with a 16-year-old male student, police said.

Shelley Dufresne, 32, and Rachel Respess, 24, both Destrehan High School teachers, were arrested and booked on charges of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, indecent behavior with juveniles and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, said Sgt. Brian McGregor, spokesman for the Kenner Police Department. Kenner is a suburb of New Orleans.

The alleged sexual encounter occurred Sept. 12 at Respess’ residence after a high school football game, said Kenner Police Chief Michael Glaser during a news conference.

Authorities were made aware of the alleged incident after the victim bragged to classmates about the encounter, Glaser said.

Both women turned themselves in to police Wednesday, police said.

“You have an educator, I guess, the responsibility is the safety and education of the children and when it goes outside those lines, I believe the community should be outraged,” Glaser said.

Police are still investigating and processing evidence from the alleged encounter, including possible pictures and video, Glaser said.

Both suspects were released on a $7,000 bond, McGregor said. Both have also been suspended without pay, a school district spokesperson told the St. Charles Herald Guide.
